"Dreamt is a story of hope, grief and yes reverie, loosely inspired by Margery William’s classic The Velveteen Rabbit. Told through the eyes of children and teens surrounded by the banal sterility of hospital walls. Through the incredible storytelling power of the Company 360 dancers, you will watch as our protagonist Boy witnesses familial love, absent of his own.
Despite the bedtime stories he once had, and the solicitude of a fellow teenage patient named Stella, Boy is left to his own despairing and wild wonderment - dreaming colorful abstractions to process the monochrome realities of everyday life. As innocence and imagination begin to fade, and adulthood and responsibility loom, the line between day and dreaming blurs and you may ask yourself: Is family who you have, or what you can create?"
So live and relive again the magic that has become the world of Dreamt with a pre-order of the book born of the vision, born of the long awaited Dance Theatre Original, from Company 360! Written by the Artistic Director and Choreographer, modeled and fashioned after the leads of one of the inaugural cast, and Illustrated by the Executive Director, this is a book dedicated to the show, to family, and to the future of Company 360!
All proceeds from the sale of this book will go directly to funding our next big adventure: Establishing The Conservatory On Cambridge. This venture will provide Company 360 with a consistent home to curate and create incredible original works. The space is then set to expand to become a new model for dance education in the form of a neighborhood conservatory, offering artistic and academic training to secondary school aged students. All of this will go toward providing our dancers and the community with a true home for professional dance, and pre-professional dance training, in the area and beyond!
Dreamt (The Book)
Because we are self-publishing we are working hard to provide all our readers with the very best books possible. After creating both a soft and hardcover version of the book, we have fallen in love with the latter and chosen to only provide this option to you. In order to make this feasible, we will need to bulk order from the printer in batches of 100. We are heading quickly toward our first 100. We will keep you updated on order processing through e-mail every step of the way. Thank you for your support, your understanding, and your good taste in wanting to handle a beautiful hardcover copy!
Local pickup will be a delivery option in the Fredericksburg Area. As we work toward securing and moving into our future location, outlined as the address on our pickup option, please note that pickup locations and times may vary through August, 2022. If choosing pickup we will notify when a bulk book order has been sent to the printer (we will submit every 100 books) and then again when the books have arrived. Upon book delivery to us, we will reach out to share pickup options. Limited area delivery options may also be available on a case-by-case basis.
